Founder and Executive Director
Tina grew up in St. Charles, Missouri and graduated from St. Charles West High School in 1988. Tina was beyond thrilled when her first born child, Megan Taylor Meier came into the world on November 6, 1992. Megan had brown curly hair and huge dimples. Her second daughter, Allison was born on May 31, 1996 and made her life complete.
Looking back on those years, Tina would have never dreamed that her entire life would have changed in just a moment's time. She says: "Life seemed so simple back then and sometimes we are always looking so far ahead that we forget to look at what is right in front of us."
Following the tragedy of her daughter Megan in 2006, Tina knew that her life would never be the same again. In December of 2007, Tina's Aunt Vicki gave her the first $100.00 to open up the Megan Meier Foundation's bank account. Eventually, the Foundation became incorporated and obtained 501(c)(3) status. As the Foundation continues to grow, Tina and Megan’s story have become nationally and globally recognized reaching over 247,000 students, parents, educators and professionals. Tina has been honored with the Teenline Humanitarian Award, Missouri Human Rights Commission, and the Judge Arnold Krekel Trailblazer Award among others. She also served as a consultant for ABC Family’s “Cyberbully”.
On the rare occasion that Tina is not traveling around the country speaking, working in the office, or being interviewed, you can find her out thrift shopping, enjoying a diet coke, or spending time with her daughter Allison. In a lifestyle that is always on the move, it is safe to say that Tina gets her inspiration and strength from her two daughters: Megan Taylor and Allison Paige.
Tina believes that this is her life's mission now and if there is even one student that struggles with bullying, cyberbullying or self-harm that it's one too many and we must be there to help and support them.
